The Ultimate Michael Jackson Tribute Band Coming to Roanoke
The Halloween Blast Will Feature Several Michael Jackson Elements.
"Who's Bad", The Ultimate Michael Jackson Tribute Band, will be performing at the Halloween Blast, October 31st at the Roanoke Civic Center. Sponsor Hounds will be producing the event that will serve both as Roanoke's premier Halloween party and as a chance to appreciate Michael Jackson's amazing and groundbreaking music.

Sponsor Hounds president Waynette Anderson is a huge Michael Jackson Fan and since his death in June she's been searching for a way to pay tribute to the King of Pop. "Michael Jackson's public tribute was so far away and many people in the area didn't get a chance to pay their respects to Michael after he died." "This is a terrific opportunity to enjoy his music the way he would have wanted" Anderson says. "His music had such a great impact on so many people's lives it would be a shame for him to leave this earth without some kind of tribute in Roanoke."

"Who's Bad" is not the only Michael Jackson related feature at the event. Sponsor Hounds will also be working to break the Thriller Dance Guinness World Record. The current record is held by The College of William and Mary and is set at 242 people. The company will be holding rehearsals for the dance on October 13th, 20th, and 27th at the Roanoke Civic Center. The event will also feature Roanoke's largest costume contest with thousands of dollars in prizes. The costume contest will be hosted by DJ Styles from WJJS. Fantasies at 723 Orange Ave in Roanoke is the official costume sponsor with more than 3,000 costumes in stock.
